Concert Program

This world-renowned quartet is back for a second year in a row to launch our 2009 spotlight on the music of Germany. Last year’s festival audience was awed by the gifted ensemble’s exquisite phrasing, intonation and blend and its extraordinary ability to create a unified sound while still allowing the individual instruments to shine. The quartet is acknowledged as one of the world’s finest interpreters of Beethoven’s string quartets, and this year’s program will climax with the stunning A minor Quartet. In the intimate space at Christ Church Cathedral, this concert will surely be one of the high points of the 2009 festival.
