A performance of Venetian brass music of the late renaissance & early baroque period, with a special focus on works from San Marco, Monteverdi’s home for thirty years. Cornettos, trombones, curtal, recorders, gittern, and organ will demonstrate a dizzying range of instrumental styles, from intimate to majestic.
