Le Nouvel Opéra presents “Visibilia”, a project which unites sacred and secular music by Monteverdi and invites the audience to navigate between the visible and invisible.

The evening begins with excerpts from his Selva Morale e Spirituale – for one, two and three voices accompanied by an instrumental ensemble.

The second half of this theatrical programme begins with the dramatic scene Il Lamento della Ninfa, followed by the powerful Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda. Composed in 1624 and based on the epic poem by Tasso, this powerful work portrays a battle between two knights.
